For those of you thinking about up grading your aging CRT TV with an HDTV, I want to simplify the process for you. Stick with a major player like LG and take a look at the LG 32LH30 LCD. Priced just under $500, it will compete with units priced much higher. Let me clarify that, you will not find any significant difference between one costing up to $1000 when compared the 32LH30.

HDTV is high density TV. It's now the the industry standard. HD allows TVs to display programming and video games at extremely high resolutions. The end result is an extremely crisp and sharp image like no other that you have seen before. The movies that are available in HD will appear with finer detail and less blur. Video gamers love this because the graphics are killer and more vivid. HD appeals to our highly acute vision senses.

A lot of people are dumping their analog TV sets because the foot print of these new LCD TVs are so thin! While the height and width remain about the same, you gain an incredible amount of flexibility of where you can display this unit because TVs like the 32LH30 are so narrow.

The picture adjusting controls of the LG 32LH30 LCD are much better than competing models. The added Picture Wizard makes use of internal test patterns to help the user perform general calibrations the controls for sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, tint, vertical and horizontal sharpness, and back light.

Connectivity is very ample on the 32LH30 LCD. There are two HDMI ports, a component-video input, an AV input with composite video, a RF input for antenna or cable, an RGB-style analog PC input, and an optical digital audio output located on the back panel. Located on the the left side is a third HDMI input as well as a second AV input with composite video. - 31846
